About Doctor
Dr. Arunava Roy is a senior consultant, Gynecologic oncology & Robotic surgery at Medica Hospital in Kolkata. He is also the head of Gynecologic oncology department. He has over 15 years of experience in his field. After obtaining his post-graduation in Obstetrics & Gynecology(DGO,DNB), he went onto pursue Clinical Fellowship in Gynae-oncology at Tata Medical Center. He trained in Basic Robotic surgery from USA and Advanced Robotic Surgery from Belgium. He is the first and only Robotic surgery trainer in eastern India and has been accredited by the European Society for Gyane Robotic surgery (SERGS). He was associated as a Senior consultant, Gyneco-oncology & Robotic surgery at Tata Medical Center, Kolkata before joining Medica Oncology. Dr. Roy’s expertise are in treating cancers of the uterus, cervix, ovary, vulva, vagina and peritoneum.
